Corona has jolted many out of their daily routine, and that's where the opportunity lies: Now is the time for leaders who exemplify optimistic, agile leadership, achieve flow, and initiate a cultural change that will enable the business of the future. This includes: allowing emotions, activating mind and body.

The transition to hybrid working raises new questions:

  • What does my team need from me as a leader?
  • How can we make better decisions in the midst of uncertainty?
  • How do we align our business model with the future?
  • How can we connect more closely with our customers and develop solutions together?
  • How can we revitalize the corporate culture so that we remain an attractive employer for Generation Z?

Bankers, quality managers, software developers, communicators, HR managers - from team leaders to CEOs - many seem to feel the same way at the moment: We are beginning to understand that a fundamentally new understanding of communication is required. This book describes a learning journey into a new, integral world. This book is a self-learning program that inspires and shows ways to increasingly get into flow with growing complexity. The authors present a model of communication in which one can place oneself and provide a guide through the skills and methods to develop.

Topics

New Normal

The negative escalation of the crisis, as often portrayed in the media, is reflected in the sense-making of managers only in exceptional cases.

Leadership

Suddenly being "out of office" creates a new world beyond the hectic daily routine and the established power structures in the company.

Humanity

Outside the tunnel, the economy is taking on a more emotional face. Not only are feelings once again permitted and completely normal, but the subjective side of a world thought to be rational is becoming conscious again altogether.

Examples

We have prepared the best original quotes from 30 interviewed managers for you in the study presentation.

"How sustainable is the mood of optimism?" was one of the questions managers asked us following the presentation of the results of our study project. Optimism may sound surprising these days - yet entrepreneurial managers are needed right now, looking ahead with courage and inspiration. Why? In the video, we explain what we learned from 30 interviews. The entire study? Register for the free download at the link below.

Transformation in practice: What role do managers and communication play?

We asked ourselves this question together with 22 students from the Bachelor's degree program in Communication Studies at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.

In the analysis and practical testing of tools and methods, we were guided by Ken Wilber's integral model. One of the results was that managers are rediscovering the importance of individual attitude and mindset, especially now in times of pandemic and crisis. Many work on sensemaking or dialogue culture and bring meditation and journaling into the home office.

In the current hustle and bustle, we also need the ability to look behind the scenes to get to the heart of issues that we don't recognize at first glance. We dared to experiment and brought constellation work into business life in the form of online business constellations. Specifically, it was about clarifying the customer interface of a management consultancy in a difficult market environment.

All of the 20 or so tools that we have examined in the areas of mindset, behavior, structure and culture are summarized in practice on more than 200 pages in the e-book "Transformation in Practice" (as of January 2021).
