European AI Adoption
How do employees find the right answer in internal documents?
EDIH.li starts with a concrete task. This article follows the path from a 30-minute business conversation to an AI application that can be tested and reviewed.

From today, Flow Factor appears in a new format and is hosted and sent entirely from Europe: servers in Germany, email delivery from the Netherlands and AI from Mistral in France.
The answer is in the staff handbook, a policy or a project folder. Yet the team keeps searching for it.
How much annual leave is left? Which expenses policy applies? Which version of the work instruction is current?
This is a concrete task for AI. A protected knowledge space can search approved documents, prepare an answer and identify its sources. A qualified person checks the result.
At the EDIH.li kick-off, we put tasks like these at the centre. Our shared aim: small and medium-sized businesses should be able to start using AI with a manageable first step.
The starting point: a business conversation
The first step with EDIH.li is a conversation of around 30 minutes. We discuss a task that currently takes time or attention:
1. What is on the company's mind? 2. What should become easier? 3. What would count as a good first trial?
We then record the task, the desired result and the next useful step. Depending on the need, this may be followed by specialist advice or a Digital Maturity Assessment. Before providing a service, we also clarify eligibility, availability and terms.
The offer: from a first conversation to implementation
Private Knowledge AI Hub: making internal knowledge usable
The Private Knowledge AI Hub with CANCOM connects approved internal sources. Employees can ask questions and receive answers with sources. The KI@RA example at Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich shows how a digital colleague can make internal knowledge easier to access and help people gain practical experience with AI.

ANNAGH AI: specialist analysis of extensive documents
ANNAGH AI illustrates a different case. More than 800 pages of standards and project data are brought together for a sustainability analysis. AI prepares a concise assessment. Specialists check the sources, gaps and result.
AI Accelerator: making an idea testable in two days
In the AI Accelerator, teams turn an initial question into a product concept, a business model and a clickable prototype. The example with 20 students at LMU Munich shows what is possible in two focused days.

RheinTalent: connecting people with a suitable task and environment
RheinTalent combines purpose matching, coaching and mentoring. The solution uses European AI models and controlled infrastructure. The example shows that an AI application also needs to fit the people, task and organisation around it.

Culture Compass and Culture Cockpit: making change measurable
The Culture Compass 2026 draws on more than 540 responses from Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. It makes conditions that support or hinder innovation visible. The Culture Cockpit brings such insights into work with teams. It uses aggregated signals; assessing individuals is outside this approach.

Training, transformation and funding
A prototype alone does not change an organisation. Teams need to check sources, handle data safely and recognise limits. Leaders need clear responsibilities and rules. We therefore connect technical tests with training and organisational change.
If a project is viable, we also examine funding and growth. This includes funding strategy and funded projects, accelerator support, investor readiness, networks and internationalisation. Not every project is eligible. The assessment therefore starts with the task, location, maturity and planned investment.
A team for the whole journey
EDIH.li connects six partner organisations:
- MMIND.ai: AI strategy, training, transformation and implementation
- CANCOM: secure knowledge systems and technical integration
- sl.one: processes, infrastructure and IT security
- Meet Your Purpose: culture, change and collaboration
- Goth & Partner: funding strategy and funded projects
- TaaS: accelerator support, investor networks and growth
For an SME, this breadth should be easy to use. The company brings a task, and we then put together the right team.

What should become easier in your business?
Bring a recurring task. Invest 30 minutes. In the business conversation, we clarify what value a first trial needs to demonstrate and what support would fit.
EDIH.li project 101330293 is scheduled to start on 1 October 2026. Business conversations and joint project preparation are already possible. Before the start, we clarify eligibility, available services and terms.
