A fractional AI leader works with your leadership team for an agreed share of time: clarifying AI priorities, building governance and leading delivery in daily work.

Costs
- Ongoing fractional work: tasks, days per month and terms are agreed before the start. The scope can be adjusted when needs change.
- Structured start: the 90-day AI transformation costs CHF 7,000 per month for three months; with the listed EDIH.li funding, the own share is CHF 4,900 per month (excluding VAT, eligibility checked before the start).
- Requests for fractional work can also be made through RheinTalent, the regional AI-assisted talent platform.
Limits
- A fractional role needs a clear mandate and someone in the leadership team who sponsors it.
- A successfully completed trial does not have to become a permanent assignment.

When does a company need a fractional AI leader?

Fractional AI leader, consultancy or interim: what is the difference?
A fractional leader is part of the leadership team over a longer period and accountable for results. A consultancy delivers analysis and recommendations within a project. An interim manager covers an operational role full-time for a limited period.
