Communication Matters #11: Positive energy is what counts

Good day,

How can meaningful entrepreneurship be successfully anchored in organizations? We addressed this question from various perspectives at the Communication Café in Vaduz on 27.01.2023:

From the point of view of the entrepreneur Cornelia Wolf, who presented in her impulse what her inner drive is, from which the first B-Corp in Liechtenstein was born
A community that wants to give momentum to the issue of sustainability
A stakeholder group working to establish responsible ownership in Liechtenstein in a timely manner
A common thread ran through the café, which I had the pleasure of moderating together with my colleague Michael Reinhardt from our Purpose Culture startup: When an organization is truly purposeful, it changes the way we interact and do business.

"Creating positive energy is the name of the game."
In order to work in a meaningful way, it is important to pay attention to releasing the following tensions for oneself:

Show full "commitment" from the top without making top-down announcements
Reach heart, hand and head at the same time
Generate momentum to see results quickly without building pressure from the outside.
Many people take these tensions for granted because they have carried them around unresolved for too long. This leads to stagnation. Real change becomes more and more difficult.

In small groups we worked out how to keep moving in challenging situations:

#1: Joining forces
Focusing on your personal purpose is usually the first step.

In order to meet the challenges of the time, the most important thing is to constantly tap into new sources of energy, make them visible and keep the energy high in the long term.

For this, it is essential to use the inner drive and to keep lightness via this path.

Prioritize your Purpose and use it to positively benefit yourself, your environment and society.

Thus, new capacities and resources are created to effect change.

#2: Strengthen identification
Identification comes from a clear commitment to values.

In many organizations, however, there is a lack of clarity about which values really apply.

Success factors for anchoring values such as sustainability across the board include:

A clear commitment from above, which is also reflected in decisions
Appreciation as a basic attitude towards employees
Showcasing results that have been achieved together.
This requires courage and an approach to each other that transcends various interest groups, the participants summarized in Vaduz.

#3: Just stay
Especially in relation to issues such as the introduction of a new purpose legal form, which affects a wide range of interests, counts: The solution must be simple and have the chance to be implemented in a useful time.

The dialogue at the Communication Café opened up new perspectives on combining the topics of responsible ownership, digitalization and blockchain in one legal form, using elements of legal forms that already exist in Liechtenstein and making a political push before the end of the year.

Important message: Responsible ownership should be an option, not a duty - just Purpose-driven.

The discussion showed that addressing feelings opens up new possibilities.

Use them!
